Combined Worship Sunday, October 30, 2022

October 30, St. John’s will be the host for our fifth Sunday combined worship service

AT 10:30 a.m.  Our special speaker that day will be The Reverend Christina Ryan Perkins,Chaplain and Director of Religious Life Support Services at Crossroad.* 

A carry-in luncheon in Oppermann Hall follows the worship service.

October 30 also marks the beginning of our gathering of items for the Food Pantry, as well as monetary donations for Crossroad. The proceeds from the combined projects will be dedicated at the November 20 Harvest Home-Thanksgiving worship service.

*About Christina Ryan Perkins

The Reverend Christina Ryan Perkins joined Crossroad as Chaplain and Director of Religious Life Support Services in 2018.  

Chaplain Christina holds regular weekly worship services for interested Crossroad clients and staff members and provides a variety of religious life programming.

She utilizes her connections with religious leaders in the community to provide spiritual formation for clients and staff members of all faiths. Reverend Perkins is also a pastor in the United Church of Christ.

A graduate of Berea College in Kentucky, she received her Master of Divinity degree from Campbell University in North Carolina. She is an alumna of AmeriCorps, providing literacy services in Appalachia.
