This Week at St. John’s UCC

Centering Words for October 21: God of harvest, gardener supreme, you place us at the center. Feed us and equip us.  Having provided for us, we look to a different harvest–a fruitfulness of lives in service to you and others.  God of harvest, feed us, prune us, harvest us, that our lives may bring glory to you.  Amen.

Sunday, October 21–Celebration of Harvest Home.  Pastor Carol’s sermon title is “There’s More to Harvest Home”.  Scriptures:  Psalm 100 and Deuteronomy 26:1-11.  The choir will sing “Give Me Jesus”, and one of the choir members will play flute accompaniment with the choir.  Following the service a coffee hour takes place in Oppermann Hall.

Tuesday, October 23–Ladies meet at LuLu’s, 9 a.m.; TOPS, 6 p.m.

Wednesday, October 24–Men meet at Arby’s, 8:30 a.m.; Choir practice 7 p.m.

Thursday, October 25–Bluffton trick or treat night

Friday, October 26–Beef and noodle dinner, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
